About the Woottons - A Unique Rural Retreat

The Woottons which means "wooded area" is a traditional working farm of 50 acres and offers the opportunity to our guests to sample agricultural life first-hand.  Depending upon the season, there are lambs skipping in the fields, cows watching over their calves and always hens pottering around looking for the most in-appropriate places to lay their eggs!  Set in an idyllic area, views are extensive with the Malvern Hills providing a beautiful backdrop to this unique, peaceful rural retreat.

Graham and his family have been at The Woottons since 1957 and Mary joined him there on their marriage some 25 years ago.  Since then farming practices have changed somewhat and Graham no longer harvests the hops that this county is so famous for although the hop kilns still remain.   His time, in the main, is now devoted to the holiday cottages and tending to the animals with the help of their two sons and daughter.   Mary has for some years offered Bed and Breakfast  in the main Farmhouse and continues to do so.  She prides herself on the hearty traditional English breakfast she provides in the well proportioned classic breakfast room.

More recently Mary  and Graham  have begun offering  self-catering accommodation which is situated near to the Farmhouse and were formerly authentic working barns dating back to the 1850's which have been sensitively converted to offer light,  spacious,  luxurious accommodation. There are many original features and genuine oak beams and floors,  stone fireplaces and walls remain intact.    Furnished to very high standards, the properties offer antique furniture combined with modern amenities to ensure your stay is as enjoyable and relaxing  as possible.

Local amenities offer Guests the opportunity of exploring the local area, shopping,  walking, cycling, horse riding, swimming, golf, theatres, castles, days out at the races.   For those who are less energetic and want to enjoy the more immediate surroundings, the picturesque location of The Woottons offers the chance of complete relaxation, a spot of reading in the well appointed gardens, bird watching or photographic chances without even leaving this superbly appointed accommodation.
